quotes hopefully the Suzuki fills its shoes, but that means it's got it's work cut out!

quotes I know my gf was freaked out and surprised at the response she got when she got a pinkbike account. Countless friend requests from total strangers on the other side of the globe and the like just because she's a girl with a decent bike. She also can't stand the worship of the model shots etc of women near bikes that seem so popular here and for that isn't all that interested in pinkbike or many mens take on women in mountain biking. Luckily even with all that she shreds and still enjoys it, but finds it a very dude centric sport.

quotes I think pinkbikes increased success and branching out is freaking people out. The negative backlash reminds me of the "sell out" mentality of smaller bands becoming accomplished in the music industry.

quotes I drive an awd wagon most of the time for MTB trips. DH or AM bikes go on the roof and gear in the trunk, we sleep in a tent. Works great, handles well and doesn't suck up the fuel like a truck does. Shuttling at the destination? Get creative, buy the locals beer, rent a truck with the money you saved driving there in the car etc. Bike parks no shuttling hassles at all! Weeeeee

quotes same in Canada, long drives are the norm here. My neighbour drives 200 km a day for work. By NA standards this car is pretty good on fuel. Not to disagree that we N Americans have a long way to improve on. If only we were given the option of some of the practical efficient cars the Euros get. I can count the number of mid size diesel vehicles available to us on one hand!

quotes For Albertans a 3 hour drive isn't even a second thought. Guess that a few hundred km is a long way in the UK?
